Tips for sewing with printed jersey fabrics

In essence, you sew TST jersey prints in the same way as other jersey fabrics. Preferably use a stretch or jersey needle and select a stretch stitch, so the seams can move with the fabric. Let the fabric feed smoothly under the presser foot and avoid pulling on it; this keeps seams and hems in shape and prevents the print from becoming distorted.

It is best to pre-wash the fabric, so any shrinkage occurs before cutting. Afterwards, press lightly, following the care instructions, so you can lay out the pattern pieces neatly on the straight grain and keep the design lines straight.
